In conjunction with the 29th Annual General Meeting, MACC has held an Integrity Pledge Ceremony which aims to,
- Expressing the commitment of cleaning contractors to avoid corruption in any form and under any circumstances.
- Support the government’s efforts to rid Malaysia of corruption.
- Produce cleaning contractors who are more responsible and have integrity, who prioritize,
-
- Service quality as the core to win contracts
- Strive to provide quality service without having to ‘bribe’ to get a contract and avoid cuts.
- Without corruption the quality of cleaning services will be more guaranteed.
The Pledge Ceremony was inaugurated by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDNKSH), Dato’ Seri Mohd Sayuthi Bakar, who then witnessed the pledges pronounced by the members.
Also witnessing the pledge were Senior Superintendent Rostam Maidin, MACC Senior Enforcer, Datuk Nasir Hamzah, Corruption Buster Project Advisor and Datuk Rohaizi Bahari, Head of Trade, Distribution & Business Sector, KPDNKSH.
A total of three papers were presented with the following titles;
- “Contractors with Integrity and Quality Services” by Mr Afandi Mohd Isa, Chief Assistant Director of the Trade, Distribution and Service Industry Secretariat, KPDNKSH
- “Symptoms of Corruption in Government and Private Procurement” by PsK Rostam bin Maidin, Senior Enforcer of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission
- “Corruption: Who Wins Who Loses” by Datuk Nasir Hamzah, Corruption Busters Project Advisor.
A total of 100 members have pronounced the pledge.
