Building Cleaning Techniques Course at UTC Ipoh

The Malaysian Association of Cleaning Contractors (MACC) has conducted a Building Cleaning Techniques course for staff and junior general employees of the Urban Transformation Center (UTC) Ipoh from 24 to 27 September 2020 at UTC Ipoh. The course was conducted by Mr. Noruddin Idris, President of MACC and Tuan Haji Ahmad Samri, Head of the MACC Training and Development Bureau.

Apart from the topic related to how to clean, also discussed is ‘Self-Esteem of a Cleaner’ to build self-confidence and eliminate the shame of working as a cleaner. In addition, safety aspects while working are also touched upon.

The course is delivered theoretically and practically.

Kursus Teknik Mencuci Bangunan Di UTC Ipoh – 24-27 Sep 2020

Malaysia Association of Cleaning Contractor (MACC)  telah mengendalikan kursus Teknik Mencuci Bangunan untuk kakitangan dan pekerja am rendah Pusat Tranformasi Bandar (UTC) Ipoh dari 24 hingga 27hb September 2020 di UTC Ipoh. Kursus di kendalikan oleh En Noruddin Idris, Presiden MACC dan Tuan Haji Ahmad Samri, Ketua Biro Latihan dan Pembangunan MACC.

Selain dari tajuk berkaitan cara kerja mencuci turut dibincangkan ialah ‘Harga Diri Seorang Pembersih’ bagi membina keyakinan diri dan menghilangkan rasa malu bekerja sebagai pembersih. Disamping itu, turut disentuh aspek keselamatan semasa bekerja.

Kursus disampaikan secara teori dan amali.

Masyuarat Agung Tahunan ke-27 – 23 September 2020

Mesyuarat Agung Tahunan ke 27 telah diadakan di Hotel AC Marriot Kuala Lumpur dalam suasana Covid-19 dengan mematuhi segala SOP yang ditetapkan kerajaan. Antara ketetapan mesyuarat adalah seperti berikut;

  1. Menerima perletakan jawatan oleh En Nagarajah, Timbalan Presiden. Tanggungjawap beliau akan diambil alih oleh Naib Presiden, Tuan Haji Faizal Rahim yang akan memangku jawatan Timbalan Presiden.
  2. Menerima cadangan pertukaran nama MACC dan menyerahkannya kepada Jawatankuasa untuk memilih nama yang sesuai untuk dibentangkan di mesyuarat agung berikutnya.

Webinar ‘Pemerkasaan Industri Pembersihan Negara: Cabaran & Isu-Isu Terkini’ – 24 Sep 2020

Sepanjang tempuh PKP, MACC telah meneruskan usaha membantu ahli-ahli menghadapi cabaran kesan dari Covid-19 dengan mengadakan beberapa siri webinar; seminar atas talian bagi membantu. Antara webinar yang diadakan ialah siri webinar ‘Changing Landscape of Cleaning’, yang dijalankan dengan kerjasama CIS.

Memulakan siri webinar ini ialah perbincangan yang bertajuk ‘Pemerkasaan Industri Pembersihan Negara: Cabaran & Isu-Isu Terkini’. Perbincangan dikendalikan oleh Tuan Haji Faizal Rahim Moidunny, Pemangku Timbalan Presiden MACC, dengan ahli panel terdiri daripada Dato’ Haji Mohamad Hedzir Shafii; Pengarah Urusan Juwara Resources & Trading Sdn Bhd, En. Nor Azman Amat Kalam; Setiausaha Agung Persatuan Bilik Air Berkualiti Malaysia (QRAM) dan En. Rozaini Nizar; ahli Institut Pengurus Harta & Fasiliti Malaysia (MIPFM).

Perbincangan berkisar kepada cabaran dan isu-isu terkini yang dihadapi oleh kontraktor-kontraktor pembersihan dan perlunya ahli, kontraktor dan pelanggan mengembleng tenaga untuk memperkasakan industri pembersihan di Malaysia.

Webinar ‘Empowerment of the National Cleaning Industry: Current Chanllenges & Issues’

Throughout the PKP, MACC has continued its efforts to help members meet the impact challenges of Covid-19 by holding a series of webinars; online seminars to help. Among the webinars held was the ‘Changing Landscape of Cleaning’ webinar series, conducted in collaboration with CIS.

Starting this webinar series is a discussion entitled ‘Empowering the National Cleaning Industry: Current Challenges & Issues’. The discussion was moderated by Tuan Haji Faizal Rahim Moidunny, Acting Deputy President of MACC, with panel members comprising Dato ’Haji Mohamad Hedzir Shafii; Managing Director of Juwara Resources & Trading Sdn Bhd, En. Nor Azman Amat Kalam; Secretary General of the Malaysian Quality Bathroom Association (QRAM) and En. Rozaini Nizar; member of the Malaysian Institute of Property & Facilities Managers (MIPFM).

Discussions revolved around the current challenges and issues faced by cleaning contractors and the need for members, contractors and customers to mobilize to strengthen the cleaning industry in Malaysia.

GENERATOR Briefing by SOCSO

In an effort to help members revive their business after Covid-19, MACC held a GENERATOR Briefing by SOCSO in conjunction with the 26th Annual General Meeting of MACC held on 23rd September 2020 at the AC Marriot Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Puan Fadlina binti Adam, Head of Zone (Employment Services), SOCSO delivered a talk entitled ‘Recruitment Incentive Program and Training Program’ under the PENJANAKERJAYA Incentive Program. Under the program there are 4 incentives provided, namely;

  1. MyApprentice – Apprentice Incentive for employers who hire local job seekers as apprentices among school leavers and graduates.
  2. HireMalaysia – which consists of three categories of incentives namely,
    • Local Recruitment Incentives under the age of 40;
    • Recruitment Incentives for local employees aged 40 to 60; and
    • Incentives for Recruitment of local workers in vulnerable groups, especially the Disabled (OKU) and participants of SOCSO’s Return to Work Program
      1. Mobility Assistance-a one-off payment to employees through employers who move from the location of the job seeker’s residence;
  3. Training Program – provides retraining (reskilling and upskilling) based on the needs of employers and employees recruited under the #HireMalaysia category.

Next, Puan Farah Wahidah Anuar, Employment Services Officer, SIP explained about the registration method in MyFutureJobs for employers who need employees and people who have lost their jobs.

MACC will take follow -up action to arrange a recruitment program in the People’s Housing Project in collaboration with SOCSO.

Taklimat PENJANA oleh PERKESO – 23 Sep 2020

Dalam usaha membantu ahli-ahli memulihkan perniagaan mereka pasca Covid-19, MACC telah mengadakan Taklimat PENJANA oleh PERKESO sempena Mesyuarat Agung Tahunan ke 26 MACC yang diadakan pada 23hb September 2020 di Hotel AC Marriot, Kuala Lumpur.

Puan Fadlina binti Adam, Ketua Zon (Perkhidmatan Pekerjaan), PERKESO telah menyampaikan ceramah bertajuk ‘Program Insentif Pengambilan Pekerja dan Program LatIhan’ di Bawah Program Insentif PENJANAKERJAYA. Di bawah program tersebut terdapat 4 insentif yang disediakan, iaitu; 

  1. MyApprentice– Insentif Perantis bagi majikan yang mengambil pencari kerja tempatan secara perantis dalam kalangan lepasan sekolah dan graduan.
  2. HireMalaysia – yang terdiri daripada tiga kategori insentif iaitu,
  1. Insentif Pengambilan Pekerja tempatan di bawah umur 40 tahun;
  2. Insentif Pengambilan Pekerja tempatan berumur 40 tahun sehingga 60 tahun; dan
  3. Insentif Pengambilan Pekerja tempatan dalam golongan mudah terjejas terutamanya Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU) dan peserta Program Return to Work PERKESO
    • Bantuan Mobiliti(Mobility Assistance) – bayaran one-off kepada pekerja melalui majikan yang berpindah dari lokasi tempat pemastautin pencari kerja;
  1. Program Latihan– menyediakan latihan semula (reskilling and upskilling) berdasarkan keperluan majikan dan pekerja yang diambil di bawah kategori #HireMalaysia.

Seterusnya Puan Farah Wahidah Anuar Pegawai Perkhidmatan Pekerjaan, SIP telah menerangkan mengenai kaedah pendaftaran dalam MyFutureJobs bagi majikan yang memerlukan pekerja dan orang yang kehilangan kerja.

MACC akan mengambil tindakan susulan bagi mengatur program pengambilan pekerja di Projek Perumahan Rakyat dengan kerjasama PERKESO.

27th Annual General Meeting

The 27th Annual General Meeting was held at the AC Marriot Hotel Kuala Lumpur in a Covid-19 atmosphere in compliance with all SOPs set by the government. Among the resolutions of the meeting are as follows;

  1. Accepted the resignation of Mr. Nagarajah, Deputy President. His responsibilities will be taken over by the Vice President, Tuan Haji Faizal Rahim who will be acting Deputy President.
  2. Receive the MACC name change proposal and submit it to the Committee to select a suitable name to be presented at the next general meeting.
